  Rice Diet

Rice Diets specialize in the prevention and treatment of hypertension, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, renal disease and other illnesses. More than half of the world's population depends on rice as a source of food. The Rice Diet provides three meals a day and reduces cholesterol, blood pressure, heart size, abnormal blood sugar, and weight. This diet plan is low in fat, and low in sodium content. It is a medically supervised diet program, which brings quick results.

The origin of rice has been discussed for some time, but the plant is of such antiquity that the precise time and place of its first development will perhaps never be known. It is certain that the domestication of rice is one of the most important developments in history, for this grain has fed more people over a longer period of time than has any other crop.

If you are allergic to rice this plan is not for you. Fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, fish and legumes are also an important part of the Rice Diet Plan. Although the name 'Rice Diet’ defines the diet, it is not based on rice only. Perhaps the main reason that medical supervision is required is to ensure that dieters don't cheat.

The Rice Diet Plan is heart-friendly and excellent for weight loss. On the diet, many people can completely stop their medication with the same or better control of their blood pressure. Medication could be stopped completely in 68% of patients and decreased in an additional 24%. Although many medicines are available for treating hypertension, studies have shown that lowering the blood pressure by using the rice diet, hypertensive patients reduces the incidence of strokes and prolongs life. As the Rice Diet lowers blood pressure, it lowers cholesterol and stabilizes blood sugar, uric acid, weight and heart size while causing an increased sense of well being. Most patients respond almost immediately on the diet.

Rice is sometimes promoted as a non-allergic food and it is often used in allergy-free diets. It is generally considered to be safe for those suffering from multiple food allergies. Especially in the eastern countries where rice is a staple food, allergy to rice is common. Rice allergy is much lower in the U.S, but some in the U.S. and other western or European countries have been found to be allergic to rice.
